St Andrew's Update Easter 3 2026

Last Sunday, 26th April, celebrated The Good Shepherd as well as Vocation and so appropriately, Reverend Liz concentrated her homily upon both of these themes. The point of reference arose from the Gospel Reading where the theme in summary is about the sheep knowing the voice of their shepherd.  The point is of course: Do we?  Alongside our personal prayers we must also adopt the habit of listening.  We live in a noisy world and so we can find that 'still small voice' difficult to fathom and understand.  With worldly distractions forever at hand we must tune in that much more to what God is saying to us. However, every Christian has a calling from God and with the Good Shepherd nothing is impossible.  Prayer and listening forever go together when trying to find a vocation.  We shoulder be aware of the nudge from God and we should question things too in our life alongside our faith.
