Seasonal Mission Giving

Season Mission Giving

Throughout the year, St Andrew's gives to a number of appeals to support a range of charities both locally and internationally. To support these, please click the red "Give" button in the top right corner of the webpage.

Lent Giving

Lent is a time to encourage sacrificial giving as part of our lent discipline. Each year we choose a missionary fund to encourage our congregation to support.

Harvest Appeal

Harvest is a time for thanking God for the many many gifts that he gives each one of us. Each year the Bishop of St Albans launches a harvest appeal which supports a chosen project in one of the poorest parts of the world.

Christmas Collections

Each year as part of people’s generosity at Christmas time a number of specific charities are chosen in order to receive the proceeds of our plate collections across the Christmas period. These can include causes that are local, within this country and from abroad. Visitors to our services over Christmas are encouraged to give to these charities through our plate and bucket collections.

Christian Aid Week - May

During Christian Aid Week each year people are encouraged to support this national Christian charity either through envelopes, special services or the ever popular Christian Aid Big Breakfast. See our Christian Aid Page

Children’s Society - Christingle and boxes

Many people in the congregation have a Children’s Society collection box on their side board in their homes. These collections of loose change are added to the proceeds of the ever popular Christingle Sevice held a couple of weeks before Christmas to make an annual contribution to the Children’s Society. Please see our Children's Society Page.

Shoe Box Appeal

Each year several hundered shoe boxes are sent out from St Andrew’s, usually to Eastern Europe or Africa. These are channeled through the Rotary Club Annual shoe box appeal.

Members of the church from time to time and some regularly support other missions charities.
