From the Council Webpage:

"Mayor Mark Foster hosted his Civic Service at St. Andrew’s Church in Biggleswade Sunday 17th March 2024. The overarching theme of the service was ‘Empowering Youth, Shaping the Future’, with readings and addresses emphasising this focus.

The Town Council had the privilege of hosting esteemed guests, including Deputy Lieutenant Dame Helen Atkinson DL, High Sheriff of Bedfordshire Russell Beard, as well as Mayors and Officials from neighbouring Town Councils.

Miss Zoe Linington, Headteacher of Edward Peake Middle School, delivered a poignant address during the service.

Generous contributions to the day’s offertory were directed towards the Mayor’s designated charities. Special appreciation is extended to Revd. Liz Oglesby-Elong of St. Andrew’s Church for her officiating duties, and to Ms. Rosemary Bentley, L.L.M. for her invaluable assistance in organising and ensuring the success of the event".
